iPad Support (iOS 2.6.6)

This feature is only available for iOS.

With this version, the Zinier application can be used on both iPhone and iPad. Solution admins can now assign tablet projects to users who can access them with an iPad. Configuring workflows in an iPad is the same as for an Android tablet.

KMZ Offline Support

Details of each segment point in the KMZ are now saved on users’ devices even where they are not connected to the internet. For example, when offline users update a check-in location and click Submit, the details of each segment point are now saved on their device.

When offline users open the KMZ component, the map is not loaded but they can see their current location and the pins plotted on a greyish background. This enables them to update their check-in location and submit their task. Offline users may still be able to view the map if it had been loaded while the users were online.

Once connected to a network, the offline data is synced to the server.

Camera Library Update (Android 2.6.7)

We have removed the third party library and integrated the Camera 2 API provided by Google, for capturing photos and videos.

This will help to overcome media-related issues like shrinking, cropping, changes in aspect ratio and provide more control over the camera features.

Logfile generation

In the Debugging screen, the Debugging Mode is on and Detailed Logs is off by default.

If Detailed Logs is on, all the API requests and responses from the server are logged.

The application will start logging the sequence of user actions when the user logs in. Logs are written in a maximum of 3 files, with each file carrying a maximum of 6MB. Log files will be deleted when the user logs out of the application or sends the log file through email.
