Stock Locations
Stock Locations are the locations where Parts and Materials are stored. Adding and transferring Parts and Materials from one location to the other can be done from here. Stock Locations must first be added before the inventory can be added.

Stock Location Type: Warehouse vs. Truck
When creating a Stock Location, you can choose between either a Truck or a Warehouse. Truck locations differ from Warehouse locations as follows:
Warehouse locations have a fixed address and no assigned technician
Truck locations can be assigned to a technician and take the tech's Home Base address as the address of the truck location.
Truck locations are used when transferring inventory to a Technician when managing inventory.
Truck locations are the source for a technician's inventory when accessing it from the inventory module on the mobile app
Adding New Warehouse Locations
To add a new Warehouse Location, go to the Inventory > Stock Location module, click the “Add Location” button in the top right of the data grid, and fill in the side panel fields as described below.
Stock Location Name and Description (Optional)
The name will be used to identify it across the other modules in the product.
Stock Location Type: Warehouse
To create a Warehouse location, select “Warehouse” from the Type dropdown menu.
Optionally Provide the Contact Details of the Warehouse
The contact information stores the contact details of the manager of the warehouse (Contact Person Name, Contact Person Title, Contact Phone). While it is not directly used in any other modules, it can be useful when inventory managers need to contact someone at the warehouse.
Warehouse Address
The location of the warehouse is the physical address associated with it. This is used when transferring parts and inventory from one stock location to another. The field is integrated with Google Maps for faster entry.

Adding New Truck Locations
To add a new Truck Location, go to the Inventory > Stock Location module, click the “Add New” button in the top right of the data grid, and fill in the side panel fields as described below.
Stock Location Name and Description (Optional)
The name will be used to identify it across the other modules in the product.
Stock Location Type: Truck
To create a Truck location, select “Truck” from the Type dropdown menu.
Assign a Technician to the Truck
If the Truck location has been assigned to a technician, select the name of the Technician from the Assign Technician dropdown menu. Note that Trucks need not have an assigned technician. This becomes useful when trucks are left at a central warehouse or parking lot – the stock in the truck will stay the same but the technician may change regularly.
Optionally Provide the Contact Phone Number
The Contact Phone field stores the phone number of the assigned technician and is auto-populated when a technician is assigned to the truck.
Truck Base Location Address
The location where the truck is typically parked. This field is auto-populated when a technician is assigned to the truck using the Technician’s Home base but can be changed at any time. The Address is used when transferring parts and inventory from one stock location to another. The field is also integrated with Google Maps for faster entry.
